Did you know our CEO,  Nico De Bruyn, wrote a book called “We’re All Marketers”? Well, he did, and it’s totally true! If you need to market your career, personal business, or side hustle, you need to know the best ways to do that. We are all marketers, but it helps when someone shows us the ropes first. Great news, everyone! We’re going to give you some tips and tricks that you can use to step up your marketing game.

First of all, if you haven’t started using videos in your marketing, get up and make one right now! We’ll wait… Great job! You don’t need a lot of fancy equipment to make a video. If you have a recent smartphone, good lighting in front of you (which can come from a window), and anything to set your phone on, you can make a video. With the uprising of TikTok and Reels, videos are the highest forms of engagement on social media. It’s also easy to break videos up into multiple forms of content. You can make an educational video and break it up into one post for social media, one post for a newsletter, as teasers, and then have the full version on your website. You can even create multiple 1-minute reels to post!  Not comfortable on camera? That’s ok. Take a look at the reels that we create! A lot feature our CEO, but some don’t feature any faces!

Engaging with your followers or online communities is also a must. Did you get some comments on your last post? GREAT! Now, go reply and have conversations with your followers. Not only will they remember you, but this also makes you and your brand more personable. When you engage with online communities, you’re also more likely to get your content seen and engaged with. After all, the people you’re talking to are looking for what you offer. You don’t want to flood the pages with your content for the sake of getting it distributed. You need to look for people that are looking for insights or input. Engage with them and start a conversation. Conversations are one great way to get conversions!

Do you see what your competitors are posting? Do you post content that works well for them? Well... stop it right now! You are not your competition, and not all social media is the same. Although you might have the same product or service, your content will most likely need to be different. It should make you stand out from the competition, not blend in with them. Highlight what makes your business unique. Keep up with trends in your industry, and write about them, so your audience knows that you are an expert in your field. You don’t need to start a blog and spend hours researching to be successful at this. Get creative in what you post. Make your content interactive, and learn more about your audience.
